Our Northern Kings 15u team travelled to Manheim, PA for the Hoop Group Spring JamFest during the first NCAA Live Period of the Spring. The team started with close wins over TNBA West and Adidas Team Philly. They then had a had a comfortable win in the quarter-finals over Central PA Elite, and was able to hold off Team Takeover (Orange) to advance to the final. In a great final game, our 15s topped Maryland Playmakers to be crowned the 15U Spring Jam Fest Champs.

2020 6’6 F Josh Hemmings was named Tournament MVP and was highlighted by multiple media outlets: “Josh immediately stood out at the Spring Jam Fest, where he produced at a high level playing up with the 15U squad. The Canadian eighth grader showed nice footwork on the low block, soft hands, and an efficient jump hook. The 6’6″ lefty was polished out of the triple-threat, where he showcased a strong rip move and a quick first step.”

“The eighth grader was a go-to-guy for the Kings throughout their championship run. The skilled, 6-6 lefty was a two-way standout. He exhibited polished footwork to go along with a soft touch around the rim. Hemmings cemented his place among the exciting new wave of Canadian talent.”

2019’s Josiah Simmonds, Dane Quest, Miles Hall & Manav Randhawa were named to the tournament all star team while 2019’s Darnell Peddie, Shak Pryce & Mike McDonald were named all-tournament honourable mentions.
