We’re excited to announce the start of our 2021-22 NK Academy Tryouts!
King Nation is pleased to announce the tryout schedule for male and female players in grades 6-9 (Girls) , and 4-12 (Boys)
For the 2021-2022 season, the Northern Kings will field up to 1 girls team and 2 boys teams per age group. The teams will be:
- 1 x Premier League team
- 1 x CYBL / OBL teams
Tryouts for all teams will be held between September 11th and 19th 2021.
Our Premier League teams will begin practices shortly after tryouts. Please note that the CYBL and OBL seasons are delayed due to COVID-19. Our CYBL and OBL teams will participate once “return to play” protocols are approved by each organization’s corresponding governing body.
The tryout evaluation process will comply with the recommended COVID-19 protocols. Please note that players will be subject to temperature checks and screening before entry. Please stay home if you’re not feeling well!
About the Premier League
The Premier League will be among the top youth basketball programs in Canada, featuring teams from the following GTA clubs:
- Northern Kings
- Canada Elite
- Bounce Elite
- Grassroots Canada
Season
October 2021 to April 2022 (subject to change due to COVID-19)
Please note the following:
- Max 40 players per tryout
- $15 with pre-registration
- $25 walk-in (space permitting)
Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Walk-ins will be turned away if the gym is full.

- Grades 6/7/8: 10:00am – 12:00pm<
- Grade 9 AAU 12:00pm – 2:00pm
Boy’s Program: Tryout 1
When: Sat Sep 11th 2021
- Grades 4/5 9am – 11:00am
- Grades 6 11:00am – 1:00pm
- Grades 7 1:00pm – 3:00pm
- Grades 8 3:00pm – 5:00pm
High School Boys
When: Sat Sep 11th 2021
- Grade 9/10 5:00pm – 7:00pm
- Grade 11/12 7:00pm – 9:00pm
